This customer in Brent got in touch after noticing their gutters had started leaking. Water was running down the walls rather than into the downpipes, which is usually a sign that the old guttering has had its day. Rather than patch it up again, the customer asked us to look at replacing the whole system, including the fascias and soffits behind it.

We carried out a full inspection first, then agreed a plan for the day. The whole job, from taking down the old boards to fitting the new gutters, was completed in a single day.

What we did

The old fascias, soffits and gutters were stripped out and replaced with new uPVC from the Flo range. We fitted white fascias and soffits with black guttering, a combination that a lot of Brent homeowners go for as it gives a clean, tidy finish against most brick colours.

As part of the works we also fitted new lead flashing and valleys where needed, making sure the junctions between roof and wall were properly sealed. Insulation and flat roof work

While we were up there we also fitted insulation to the flat roof section. This is worth doing at the same time as fascia and soffit work, since the roofline is already exposed and it avoids a separate visit later on.

We gave the whole roof a manual clean while we had access, clearing off moss and debris that had built up over time. It's a small extra step but it means the roof is in better condition overall, not just the guttering.
